161 Ukrainian children abducted by Russia were found in Germany

Head of the National Police of Ukraine Ivan Vyhivskyi with Holger Münch, President of the Federal Criminal Police Office of GermanyIn cooperation with German colleagues, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies managed to find 161 Ukrainian children who were abducted by Russia and were on the territory of Germany.
This was announced by the head of the National Police of Ukraine, Ivan Vyhivskyi, during a meeting in Berlin with the president of the Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany, Holger Münch.
«Thanks to our cooperation with law enforcement agencies of the Federal Republic of Germany in the direction of documenting war crimes of the Russian Federation, namely the deportation and forced transfer of Ukrainian children, the whereabouts of 161 Ukrainian children who were wanted as forcibly transferred to temporarily occupied territories or deported to the Russian Federation and Belarus have been established in Germany,» he informed.
The head of the National Police also noted that Kyiv counts on the help of its partners in bringing Russian war criminals to justice both in Ukrainian courts and in the courts of other countries, and the military-political leadership — in the International Criminal Court and special tribunals.
«Perhaps, it is the German law enforcement agencies that will be ready to assist Ukraine in the implementation of these actions, and to enter information about these persons into the Schengen information system. Entering information into the SIS in the future may contribute to limiting their movement and stay in Schengen countries, as these persons may pose a threat to the national security of the European Union and Schengen countries,» he said.
It will be recalled that the Vice-President of the European Parliament, Robert Zile, stated that the Russification that took place during the Soviet era was not as terrible as the one carried out by the Russian and Belarusian regimes today, forcibly taking children from Ukrainian families and destroying their roots.
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution calling on European politicians to make every effort to return Ukrainian children deported to Russia, as well as to help all children who are victims of this war.
