In the Izmail district of the Odesa region, there are plans to renovate and convert a shelter at the Larzhanka Lyceum into a multifunctional co-working space.

This is reported on the Prozorro public procurement website, according to NikVesti.

The project is valued at over 30 million hryvnias. The client for the works is the Education Department of the Safiany Village Council. Tender bids may be submitted until 10 May.

It should be noted that the project is planned to be funded from the local budget with the involvement of a state subsidy, specifically under the EU’s Ukraine Facility programme.

A complete refurbishment of the shelter is planned: dismantling of old structures, erection of new partitions and floors, concrete and foundation works. Interior works are also planned — finishing of walls and floors, painting, and tiling.

Separately, plans include upgrading the water supply, drainage, ventilation and electrical systems, as well as installing fire safety systems and facilities for people with reduced mobility.

In addition, the contractor is to carry out external works, including the fitting out of entrances and canopies. They are also to install furniture: tables, chairs and cupboards. The contractor must complete the works by 31 December this year.

It was previously reported that in 2026, 113 shelters will be fitted out in general secondary education establishments across 22 regions of Ukraine, including eight in the Mykolaiv region. The government has already allocated nearly five billion hryvnias in subsidies for the project.
