Odesa received ten tankers and a truck from Japan. The equipment will be used not only in the city itself but also to help Mykolaiv if necessary. When the city was left without water supply, tanker trucks from Odesa regularly delivered water to Mykolaiv residents.
According to the city council, six tanks were transferred to the balance sheet of the municipal enterprise «Miskzelentrest», and four, along with a truck, to the municipal enterprise «City Roads». It is noted that the utility company, together with housing and communal services, eliminates the consequences of enemy attacks in wartime.
«Tanker trucks are also used to deliver water — including to Mykolaiv, when the city was without water, and to extinguish fires, and after attacks on the energy sector, they delivered water to areas without pump rooms», said the mayor of Odesa, Hennadii Trukhanov.
Earlier it was reported that Mykolaiv received machinery and equipment from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency JICA for 108.5 million hryvnias.
