On Sunday, April 14, a 19-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl were injured due to the detonation of explosives in the village of Kvitneve of the Pervomayska community in the Mykolaiv region.

This was reported by the State Service for Emergency Situations in the Mykolaiv region.

According to rescuers, according to preliminary information, the victims found ammunition, brought it home and «wanted to do something with it.» As a result of physical impact on the explosive, it detonated. The boy and the girl are currently in medical facilities. Doctors are fighting for their lives.

«It is worth noting that the area where the incident happened remains a potentially polluted area, because the community was in the zone of active hostilities for a long time. That is why there is a high level of mine danger here,» the report says.
