Photo: Office of the President of UkrainePresident Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to Vladimir Putin's proposal about a technological duel between the Russian Oreshnik missile and Western-style air defense systems in Ukraine, emphasizing that these were the words of an inadequate person.
The head of state said this at a press conference in Brussels on December 19.
«Do you see who we are dealing with? Today «a comrade from the Kremlin» said that Russia is offering a technological duel. He says: «We will strike somewhere in Kyiv with Oreshnik, and let them put up air defense. Well, let's see what happens». And you think this is an adequate person? Just thugs», said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
As a reminder, on November 21, Russia struck the city of Dnipro with a medium-range ballistic missile Oreshnik, which is equipped with a non-nuclear hypersonic variant.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine stated that Vladimir Putin does not want to end the war and is threatening Ukraine with missiles to thwart US President-elect Donald Trump's attempts to end the war.
