«Work continues in the areas where there were military operations and on agricultural lands,» — Kim on the state of demining in the Mykolaiv region

On the territory of the Mykolayiv region, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service continue the process of demining de-occupied lands. Currently, work continues in the most difficult areas, where hostilities took place.

Vitalii Kim, the head of Mykolayiv RMA, told about it on the air of the telethon.

Vitaly Kim noted that despite the active work of specialists, tragic cases occur in areas that were previously declared demined.

— We did not slow down the pace. We passed the most dangerous areas for people. Demining of more difficult areas where there were military operations and agricultural lands is currently underway. Unfortunately, tragic cases happen where there was demining, when the mine is pushed out by the ground or the area was not inspected and people go there at their own risk. That is, such cases now happen not in places where everyone understands that you cannot walk, but in places where someone has already passed by many times, — Vitalii Kim said.

Currently, 5 largest companies are involved in demining, which help not only by providing equipment and specialists, but also by training people.

— The power of such brigades is sufficient, they show a pace higher than planned. You can't rush, you have to carefully study everything, and these rules of international partners are very strict. Therefore, they advance slowly, but the probability that they will miss something there is much less. These companies work here, as in the whole of Ukraine, — he said.

We remind you that the village of Maksymivka in the Mykolaiv Oblast was demined by only 40% a year after its liberation from the Russian occupiers.
