Mykolaiv plans to send privileged children to the mountains for a holiday: ₴8.2 million will be spent

The city of Mykolaiv plans to spend 8.2 million hryvnias on a mountain holiday for 424 children in need of special social attention and support. They are currently looking for a holiday organiser.

This is evidenced by data from the ProZorro public procurement system, according to NikVesti.

The tender documentation states that the recreation and leisure facility should be located in the mountainous areas of Zakarpattia region. For 8 million 201 thousand 593 hryvnias, the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council is purchasing recreation for 424 children. They will have a 14-day shift. The recreation services must be provided by 15 September 2025.

The winner of the tender has to staff groups of children, organise transportation and pay for recreation services. It is specified that the winner of the tender must:

• ensure that the organised groups of children are transported by authorised units of the National Police (in cases provided for by the current legislation);
• purchase travel documents;
• provide information about the responsible employee of the children's institution for communication on the organisation of transportation of children and other issues related to the organisation of quality recreation for children;
• ensure that children are accompanied on the journey by qualified pedagogical and medical staff;
• provide dry rations and water for children on the way back at the expense of the children's health and recreation centre.

Participants are currently submitting bids, and the auction will be held on 19 February.

Earlier it was reported that in 2025, 22.3 million hryvnias will be allocated from the budget of Mykolaiv City Council for the rehabilitation of 1158 children in need of special social attention and support. In 2024, 8.5 million hryvnias was allocated from the Mykolaiv budget for the rehabilitation of 515 children. This means that in 2025 the number of children to be rehabilitated will more than double.
