Ukrainian soldiers of the Third Assault Brigade have regained control over the village of Nadiia, located on the border of Kharkiv and Luhansk regions. The operation lasted 30 hours, during which the soldiers liberated three square kilometres of territory.
According to the commander of the Third Army Corps, Andrii Biletskyi, the Russians spent two months capturing the village, using the 752nd and 254th mechanised regiments of the 20th Army of the Russian Federation.
DeepState analysts confirmed the liberation of Nadiia, noting that in late February and early March, the Russians took control of the village, but failed to build on their success despite constant attacks on Ukrainian positions.— as of 2024, Russia controls over 90% of its territory.
Volodymyr Fokin, commander of the 1st Assault Battalion of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, in a commentary to «Ukrainska Pravda», noted that control of the village of Nadiia makes it possible to effectively keep the Chornyi Zherebets River and the occupied settlements of Raihorodka and Dzherelne under fire control.
«In general, we have levelled the defence line and gained more favourable positions for defence», he said.
The General Staff reported that on 21 March, the Ukrainian Air Force struck a combined company of the Russian 205th Separate Guards Motorised Rifle Brigade in Dnipriany on the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region. Russian boats, military property and an ancillary building with technical equipment were destroyed.
