The Mykolaiv Regional Council plans to renovate the Regional Palace of Culture in 2024

Next year, 159 million hryvnias are planned to be allocated from the budget of the Mykolaiv Region for capital repairs and modernization of the Regional Palace of Culture.
The corresponding project was included in the program of economic and social development of the region for 2024, which was adopted by the deputies during the session of the regional council on December 14, NikVesti writes.
According to the approved project, the funds will be directed to the capital repair of the premises of the Regional Palace of Culture, the fountain, as well as to the modernization of the stage complex, sound and light equipment.
Installation of an automatic fire extinguishing system, reconstruction of the auditorium and the square for barrier-free use are also planned.
It is noted that the capital repair is planned to be carried out in the period from 2024 to 2025.
In particular, during the discussion, deputy Yurii Kormyshkin noted that he did not understand why during the war there was a need not for the support of the Armed Forces or the work of businesses, but for the reconstruction of cultural objects.
«We do not have funds for the Armed Forces, we do not support business, but in the «Program of approval of economic and social development for 2024» we allocate funds for the regional palace of culture. This fund is located in the city, where do we allocate the funds?» said Yurii Kormyshkin.
For the decision to approve the program of economic and social development of the region for 2024, 38 deputies voted on it, 4 — «abstained».
Earlier, the head of Mykolaiv Oblast Vitaly Kim said that thanks to cooperation with international donors and business partners, Mykolaiv Oblast is a leader in spending funds without additional funding from the budget.
