«The Ukrainian guided aerial bomb has a unique design and has been created with the realities of modern warfare in mind. It is not a copy of Western or Soviet designs, but an original development by Ukrainian engineers for the effective destruction of fortifications, command posts and other enemy targets tens of kilometres inland after launch,» said Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to him, the aerial bomb has a 250 kg warhead. Pilots are currently testing the KAB.

«The Ministry of Defence has already purchased the first experimental batch. Pilots are currently practising combat scenarios and adapting the use of this new weapon to real-world war conditions. Ukrainian KABs will soon be targeting enemy positions,» the Defence Minister noted.

As a reminder, Ukraine and Romania have begun joint development and production of drones. The initiative will attract €200 million in funding through the SAFE programme.
