Since the beginning of the full-scale war, almost 500 buildings have been damaged by shelling in the Voznesensk District of the Mykolaiv Oblast

In the Voznesensk district of the Mykolayiv region, 493 buildings were damaged due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, of which one high-rise building was completely destroyed and is subject to demolition.

This was told during the briefing by Acting the head of the Voznesensk District Military Administration, Antonin Sharat, writes NikVesti.

We will remind that at the beginning of the invasion, active fighting took place on the territory of the Voznesensk district, which includes five territorial communities. According to the official, the local defenders were able to repel the enemy, but this was accompanied by significant losses in both people and property assets.

— We have entered 493 objects in the register of damaged property, mainly residential sector, high-rise buildings. There is one completely destroyed high-rise building, which is completely subject to dismantling and eviction of citizens. There are damaged schools, kindergartens and health care facilities. We suffered significant losses, — Antonina Sharata commented.

It is also important to note that at the beginning of the conflict, the population of Voznesensk district was 177 thousand people, but due to the full-scale invasion of Russian troops, the number of internally displaced persons increased significantly, reaching more than 21 thousand in December 2022. At the beginning of November, the number of IDPs was 17,000.

We remind that as a result of enemy shelling of housing, social and energy infrastructure, Mykolaiv Oblast suffered losses of 90 billion hryvnias.

Earlier it was reported that international partners helped Voznesensk to repair the shelter at the school and the kindergarten.
