«Mykolaiv parks» promise to restore two more fountains in the city

The municipal enterprise «Mykolaiv Parks» plans to restore the fountains in «Mother» and in the park at the intersection of Pohranichna and Mala Morska streets next year.

This was announced by Dmytro Chuchmai, director of the communal enterprise «Mykolaiv Parks», during an online briefing on 30 September, NikVesti reports.

«We are planning to launch a fountain in the park «Mother» near the sports complex «Nadiia» and in the park at the intersection of Pohranychna and Mala Morska streets. This will increase the number of recreational areas for the citizens», said Dmytro Chuchmai.

«The equipment needs to be preserved and protected from low temperatures», said Dmitry Chuchmai.

According to him, maintaining the fountains involves a large number of technical tasks. The company's employees regularly clean the bowls and pipelines, check equipment and filtration systems, monitor water quality, and carry out painting and minor repairs. In 2025, for example, the city launched a renovated fountain on Soborna Square.

This year, a fountain was launched on Soborna Square in Mykolaiv for the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion.

As you know, the fountains on the square had not been working for several years. In 2022, the equipment was severely damaged due to flooding of electrical panels and lighting. Some of the equipment was dismantled, cleaned of rust, painted and reassembled. The wiring in the affected cabinets was replaced. Some equipment was adjusted and some was restored.
