Shelling of the railway station in Kherson: Mykolaiv received evacuation buses

Mykolaiv railway station and all relevant services are ready to receive buses with evacuated passengers from Kherson, where Russian troops shelled the territory of the station this evening.
This was reported by Mykolaiv City Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.
As you know, today, December 26, the station and train of Ukrzaliznytsia were damaged due to enemy shelling of Kherson. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 140 citizens were waiting for the departure of the train at the station when the Russian army started shelling.
«We contacted the management of our railway station. Help was offered. We will do everything necessary.
So far, the police and commandant's office have been asked to increase patrols on the territory of the station so that people can seek help if necessary. The law enforcement officers will be on duty until all the passengers leave,» Oleksandr Sienkevych wrote.
Oleksandr Prokudin, head of Kherson RMA, reported on two civilians who received shrapnel wounds. A police officer on duty in Kherson was killed by shelling. Two more law enforcement officers were wounded.
«Police officers on duty at the station urgently began evacuating people. Thanks to the clear actions of the police, everyone managed to get to safe places. Two civilians who received shrapnel injuries are receiving medical aid,» said Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.
Ukrzaliznytsia reported at 22:17 that the passengers of the Kherson train safely reached Mykolaiv by bus.
It is also reported that the train to Kyiv will depart according to the dispatcher's schedule.
Flights from Kramatorsk, Lviv and Kyiv in the direction of Kherson will head to Mykolaiv tomorrow.
«Currently, we are assessing the damage to the station, the cars, and monitoring the condition of our injured employees. Please follow the official information on the channels of Ukrzaliznytsia,» says the message of Ukrzaliznytsia.
It was previously reported that on December 26, the Russians again attacked the Kherson region with 32 shells. As a result of the attack, one person was injured.
