The head of state has scheduled a separate meeting on 20 February to discuss further steps, according to the Ukrainian president's website.
«Today, all members of our negotiating team will be in Ukraine, and tomorrow I have scheduled a special meeting with them to discuss our next steps and decisions. There will be a report here in Kyiv on those aspects of the negotiations that should not be discussed over the phone,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
According to him, during the meeting, they also plan to discuss the further format of interaction with the United States, European partners, and the Russian side.
The President stressed that the presence of European representatives at the negotiations in Switzerland is of fundamental importance for Ukraine.
«It is important that Europeans were present in Switzerland now. And this is how we expect to work in the future — so that Europe's positions are taken into account. I would also like to thank all members of our delegation for strictly adhering to the directives during the negotiations. It is very important for Ukraine to speak confidently, strongly and in a coordinated manner,» he said.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced progress on the military front during the trilateral negotiations between Ukraine, the United States and Russia on ending the war. According to him, during the negotiations, the parties worked in two directions — military and political. On the military track, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted, all three sides were constructive.
