Because of the war, more than half a million Ukrainian children study remotely, which affects the quality of education.

This was stated by the Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi, reports Ukrinform.

«Today we have more than half a million children studying remotely, and the quality of this distance education is very different, often not very high. And today we are working both on solutions that provide access to face-to-face education, and on solutions that will provide quality online education to children who, due to circumstances, cannot return to face-to-face education. And it's about gadgets and the corresponding digital solutions that will be presented at the summit,» said the head of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Oksen Lisovyi emphasized that for those children who are currently studying abroad, it is important to preserve their identity.

«It is important that countries promote the return of Ukrainians to Ukraine. And we, for our part, taking care of children's development, understand and realize that children should study in schools abroad in full-time. Nevertheless, we create a channel of influence on our citizens through the study of the Ukrainian studies component. And the international community helps us in this, and the government of Ukraine and the ministries of education of the countries with which we are negotiating help us in this and support us precisely in preserving the identity of Ukrainians abroad, despite the fact that they are integrated into this environment,» added the minister.

It will be recalled that the Parliament allowed university students to choose the pace of their studies. For example, a bachelor's degree can be obtained in 3 or 5 years, depending on which workload the student chooses.
