Photo: NikVestiStormy winds have swept across Mykolaiv and the region — trees are falling in the city, roofs are being torn off, and downed power lines and damage to infrastructure are being reported on the roads. Due to the bad weather, parts of the city and the region have been left without electricity.

Due to the sharp deterioration in weather conditions, a Level I (yellow) hazard warning has been issued in the region. Wind gusts are forecast to reach 15–20 m/s.
Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych reported that fallen trees and large branches have been recorded in various districts. There are also reports of damage to external heating pipes and torn-off roofing elements. In the courtyards of residential buildings, fallen trees have damaged parked cars.
The municipal enterprise ‘Mykolaivelektrotrans’ noted that trams and trolleybuses are running with delays due to damage to the overhead contact line. Utility services are working to clear up the aftermath of the storm.

Furthermore, damage caused by the storm has been reported in Odesa too — there, according to local residents, the bad weather affected the Alley of Glory.
